Asparagus on the Grill

I love asparagus.

 

Besides the fact it makes your pee smell, it’s one of my favorite summertime veggies.

 

I usually wrap mine in foil with a little steak seasoning and olive oil.  This past weekend we made it directly on the grill and I absolutely LOVED it!

 

This is a great side for summer. I love the caramel color from the grill and the tang of the lemon.  YUMMM!

 

Asparagus on the Grill 

  • 1 Bunch of Asparagus

  • Olive Oil

  • Salt

  • Lemon

Cut end of asparagus.  Drizzle olive oil over asparagus and mix well so it’s lightly coated. Lay asparagus directly on grill over medium heat.  Sprinkle with salt.  Let cook for 3-4 minutes.  Roll asparagus to ensure even cooking.  Keep doing this until the asparagus is crisp tender, about another 3-4 minutes.  Set aside on serving tray.  Squeeze lemon juice over asparagus.  Sit aside until you are ready to eat.  *I prefer this style of asparagus served at room temperature, but feel free to serve right away. It’s good regardless.
