There are certain things that bring back memories of my childhood and teenage years. One, is my Pasta Bolognese recipe that I got from my mother-in-law Pat.
When I was in high school and dating Tim, he would call me once a week inviting me over for dinner. (most of the time, I would have already eaten dinner, but if Pat was cooking, I didn’t care). Three things she made that I absolutely loved were 1) Tater Tot Casserole, 2) Lasagna and 3) Pasta Bolognese.
I decided to go down memory lane tonight and make her delicious pasta bolognese.
Delicious Pasta Bolognese
1 lb ground chuck
1 – 10 oz jar Prego sauce
1 tsp onion salt
1 tsp garlic salt
1 T Itallian Seasoning
1 tsp basil
1/2 Cup red wine
2 Tbsp sugar
Pasta of your choice
Brown ground chuck and drain grease. Add sauce, red wine and seasoning – simmer 20 to 30 minutes. Boil water and cook pasta according to package. Pour sauce on top of cooked pasta. Enjoy!
I enjoyed every last morsel!
