Pomegranate Cooler

March 23, 2015

Baby T is coming! We’re counting down the days until his arrival and I could not be more excited.

I’ve only got a couple more weeks until I can enjoy my first post-pregnancy cocktail.  Until then, I’m keeping busy with some yummy mocktail recipes I found in this cute book: Preggatinis.

My favorite has been this Pomegranate Cooler. I made a couple of substitutes but love how it turned out.  It’s fresh, fruity and perfect for a celebration.

Cheers to my last few weeks of pregnancy and to all the other amazing women out there who are pregnant and fabulous!

Pomegranate Cooler

(Inspired by Preggatinis)

  • 5-7 blueberries (fresh or frozen)

  • 3 oz. sparkling cranberry apple juice

  • 2 oz. 7 up

  • 3 oz. sparkling pomegranate soda

  • 1 lemon slice

Then add ice and pour in the juices.  Fill the glass to the top with sparkling pomegranate soda, and a splash of lemon juice. Give drink a swirl.  Place a lemon slice on top of the drink to garnish. Add some fun with a colorful straw.

*De-Virginize for Dad: along with the juices, add 1 oz. vodka and 1/2 oz. PAMA pomegranate liquor.
